About me

Inspired by the spark of life in a painting my specialty lies in portraiture. Whether the subject is a person or an animal I aim to bring them to life with a warmth you can feel from within the painting.

I am an artist based in the North-East with a passion for exploring and constantly improving my craft. Having trained from a young age, art remained a source of joy throughout my career as a teacher. Now retired from teaching I have been able to truly recommit to life as an artist.

I am always exploring new artforms and developing my style, I do this through classes with Steve Lyon-Bowes and weekly group sessions with my peers at Morpeth Art Group.

Throughout my journey as an artist I have created pieces from many subjects; people, pets, wild animals, landscapes and still life, but I always return to portraiture. The opportunity to bring peoples loved ones and treasured pets to life through art is a joy and a priviledge.
